Want to work for me?
Writers, etc, wanted.
Yep, I’m hiring (freelancers/part-timers)
I used to employ my daughter Kate as a full time writer, but now that she’s living the high life as a public relations wizard cum copywriter in London’s Canary Wharf and sharing a house by the river with some people from the ultra successful lastminute.com, she’s not got much interest in the few dollars I’m willing to waft her way.
Kate I hope you’re reading this and feeling G-U-I-L-T-Y.
Nah, only joking
Anyway, if you feel you can do a good job at doing one of the following things please write and explain why, and include some of your success stories or online examples of your work.
1. Looking for someone, or more than one person, to write for my travel sites. Chatty, personal experience reviews combined with research. (I’ll send you photocopies from my extensive magazine and newspaper clippings files to help with your research).
Right now I especially need blog posts on France, Spain, England, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia.
You’ll probably live in one of those places, or have spent a lot of vacations there.
You need to be able to write well, and fast. And it’s got to be all original, quality content. Not a rehash of travel brochure pieces, and not keyword rich rubbish (though they will have to contain popular keyword phrases).
Also some rewriting of PLR material, which I’ll supply.
You must be able to come up with ideas, plus get the content up onto the web. I envisage myself having a completely hands off role, except to send you payment
You should be able to work regularly and on an on-going basis.
2. As above but for my health sites.
3. As above buy on internet business, affiliate marketing, etc.
Besides writing the articles you will also need to do separate versions to post to article directories, submit to ezines, make forum posts, etc.
4. I’m looking for someone to help me increase the readership of Letter from Phil. This might be by building optin landing pages and promoting them, by getting quality backlinks to my
forum/blog/and newsletter sites, or some other way. You need to be experienced at doing this and show me examples of what you’ve done/why you can do it. And what you have in mind.
5. Someone to build networks of quality sites. Setting up sites from scratch using xsitepro or dreamweaver, or Botcandy, or building blogs. I’m not talking about building hundreds of sites using automated tools…but long lasting search engine friendly sites.
If you’re a beginner at any of these please don’t write saying you’re a quick learner. Also let me know how much you envision me paying you, and whether you want to work per hour/day or per article.
I want good work, but I’m not prepared to pay over the odds, or be taken for a ride
And you’ve got to be consistent and dedicated, or it’s goodbye.
You’ve also got to be able to accept Paypal for payment, and to avoid taxation complications, including GST, I’d prefer you to not be to an Australian tax payer. Wish I wasn’t either ![]()
They really hit you here.
Write to me at phil AT ozemedia.com but be aware that because of my current internet connection problems, and the fact that last time I made this kind of post hundreds of people wrote to me, it could take me days to reply.
If don’t want to work for me (because I’m such a hard, mean taskmaster) you’ll find plenty of freelance writing (and other home-based) jobs on offer here:

Me? Guilty? Don’t know the meaning of the word
Seriously though, its a great job and a great way to share your travel experiences too.
He’s not that bad to work for… hehe
Just kidding… quite good actually, and fair too.
Kate
