Get a free wiki based mini site
Don’t know if you’ve seen Jotspot, but it’s a wiki based application that lets you put tons of stuff up online - blogs, calendars, spreadsheets, photo galleries, and virtual filing cabinets that you, and other people in your team can edit and share.
You could, for instance, use it to easily set up an online family photo gallery. Or for collaborating on a web project with someone. Or you could share files with a few friends by using the filing
cabinet feature.
But, because I’ve found it best not to build every site with the same application, I’ve just been trying it out for building quick mini site style websites, and it works fast and easily.
Because it’s wiki based (think Wikipedia) you can easily change and update content. One thing it’s very easy to do is design pages with features such as slide shows, website links, and
video’s imported from sites such as YouTube.
The free version only lets you put up 10 pages, and lets up to 5 people share/edit the files. You’re also only allowed one free wiki, but if you’re sneaky, and have a few different email addresses, it’s quite easy to get more.
There’s also a 2-tier affiliate program paying from $1 per free signup, up to $200 if someone signs up for a corporate account. Here’s a link to the affiliate signup page.
